We completed a full rehabilitation of this Dutch Barn in Willow Grove, PA. All rotted wood siding was removed and replaced with new wood panels. To provide a durable, low-maintenance exterior with a modern appearance, we installed Mastic Board & Batten vinyl siding over the existing wood siding. The original windows were removed, and the openings were modified to accommodate new 18″ x 27″ aluminum slider windows. The existing doors were replaced with Traditional Style wooden double doors, secured with heavy-duty hardware. Inside the shed, we installed a new layer of flooring to strengthen the interior. As a final improvement, we excavated 6–8 inches along both gable ends and installed welded wire across the openings between the shed’s 4×4 runners. This creates an effective barrier that helps prevent rodents and other pests from gaining access beneath the shed.
